Me and my Media, Lauren Math

I love media because it keeps us connected with people.  Through phones and computers we are able to talk to people in different cities, states, even countries.  We are able to see people in real time without actually being face to face.  We are also able to receive important news through applications, and texts.  For example IU sends messages if there is bad weather, or any emergencies.  Without media we would not be warned of dangerous weather early enough to protect ourselves.  I was working at a store over this summer and someone told us a bad storm was coming.  I pulled out my iphone and looked at where the storm was compared to our store location.  We then knew when people would most likely be here and when the storm would wipe away our customers and possibly our power.  Giving us time to prepare for the storm.
