Why I Heart My Media

I love media because of how easily it can change the way you feel. Things like music, movies, and social networking can easily better your mood or piss you off in a matter of seconds.

I heart my media because it connects me to my family and friends.

This picture is why i love media. It allows beautiful cities, like chicago, to light up and give a whole new meaning to it. The lights, sounds, and surroundings of it are all things that continue to amaze people.

I love my iPad because I have my textbooks on it..my schedule….my notes..my contacts..everything is on it. I would be lost without it.

I love media because it gives me a chance to escape reality. To put all the worry and stress from the day on hold and just relax and escape

I love media because it allows me be connected to my friends through different social networks, such as facebook and twitter. Also, I can be in contact with them through cell phones.

When someone comes home to an empty house or apartment, the first thing they do is turn on the television or put on some music. The silence is uncomfortable For most and they need some kind of media to break it. Even a used car commercial can, possibly the most annoying commercials, can give someone the serenity of having something else in the room with them to make them feel less alone. Another voice and the blue glow off the tv has become a type of “friend” to those who are alone for he simple fact it makes them not feel alone. Now a computer and Skype can bring someone across the world into your room to make you feel even less alone. Even 60 ago when walking into a house it would be silent and remain silent most of the night and the only thing to fill the silence would be the age old activity of talking. It’s hard to think what it would be like to be ain an empty house all alone all night, a bit scary if you ask me.

Through film and television, I see a limitless way in which a person can convey their thoughts and views on life. Although books and radio could do this before, fulfilling the visual aspect is simply so powerful in its own unique way–and utilizing this tool is an eloquent way of expressing one’s state of mind, hue of paradigm, or tint of reality.

I love that we can have access to all kinds of information, good and bad, that we can share ideas, and that we can know more about each other and promote communication.

I heart media. Truly, more often than not, everything I listen to, every movie I see, and most of the plans I make involve media in some way shape or form. I see media primarily as a tool for communication and entertainment. I still prefer talking to people face to face but sometimes using facebook, skype, or a phone call can be more convenient.
