Why I Heart My Media

I  love that, with my trusty smart-phone and its gps, I am almost never lost.

I love how anonymous you can be on the internet. Online no one judges you or knows you but solely based on what you put out online. Everything is possible when no one truly knows who you are. I love that aspect of this.

Media and technology have overtime become a huge part of my life socially and educationally. This includes using my cell phone for texting and calling, the internet for social networking (facebook and twitter), general research, educational research, and music. Media and technology, in a way, control our lives and we cannot live without, especially me. It is my life. This is how I get in contact with people and find out information in the most convenient way. –Rachel Dolgov

I love my media because it keeps me in contact with my family and friends which are the most important thing to me. I also love to listen to any type of music which plays an important role in my life. Also media keeps me from being bored which is one thing that I absolutely hate to be.

I love my media because it allows me to be connected with people from all over the world that I’d otherwise never get a chance to meet. Some may be very much alike to me, and others not so much, that’s the beauty of it all, the world is composed of such a diverse culture.

Living in the media world, it makes me feel connected with people even if I am not with them. Cell phone and computer became two things that I cannot live without with. Every morning I would be waken up by my alarm clock on my iPhone and then turn on my laptop to check any new E-mails, facebook news and etc. When I started my university life, I began to realize that my need for media became even stronger than before. The use of my phone allows me to find my friends at anytime at anywhere. Looking through different web blogs and social networks allows me to get any update of my friend’s life no matter where they are. Media literally connects me with the people around, that even I am not physically with them but I can still learn everything about my friends through Facebook, MSN, text message, and so on. I cannot image one day I wake up without having my phone next to me or my laptop, that would make my life miserable. Without them, I cannot check my homework, I cannot use Google Map to find my classroom and moreover I will detached from the world. Therefore I heart my media because it makes me feel connected, and involved. I cannot live without it.

I love my media because it allows me to still shop at my favorite stores (On-line) even if they are not here in bloomington.

I love my media because it always allows me to feel connected to my friends and the world around me. It also gives me so many resources that I am able to use in my life.

Media allows us to follow everything. In this case I can see highlights from a game that was in a different state and the time unknown to me.

It started on Christmas day when I was 3 years old, I got the original Playstation, since then my life has been about having the newest available technology as soon as possible.
