Why I Heart My Media

I love media because it provides us with entertainment, and a way to connect with others. Videogames, music, movies, tv’s, social media, and phones are all an important part of my life.

I heart media because media involves everything music, gaming, news, updating, technology, and it’s the easiest way to keep up with exactly what your friends are doing. Music is a huge part in my life and without media, it’d be harder to access music.

Without my iPhone it’d be tough to be able to constantly access my supply of music, videos, and the like when I’m out and about. When it comes to news, my iPhone has the CNN app that gives me the ability to get the latest local, national, and international news at the touch of a button, making it easier for me to be constantly updated on what’s going on in the world. When I don’t care about what the world has to say and just want to know what my friends are thinking, my iPhone has that too. With apps like Facebook, Twitter, etc. information and media are available at anytime in almost any place. If I want to know what my friends are up to I just check the Twitter feed or their Facebook status. Without media, we are nothing. Some may agree, others won’t and some may think that’s sad, and others don’t, but that’s just how I see it. There’s never been a truer statement than I heart media.

I’ve been on vacations where I don’t get cellphone reception or internet service and I feel so isolated and out of touch with the rest of the world and thats a scary thing. I don’t understand how our parents lived in a time period where there were no cellphones. Having a cellphone now is safe, you can always be contacted or contact someone else. If i were a parent i would want to be able to know where my kids were and make sure they were safe. I love my media because it connects me to the rest of the world and makes me feel safe.

I love my media because it allows me to interact with people that I would never get to interact with normal see things i would never see and many other amazing things

I love my media because it allows me to keep in touch with my friends and family. I’m a very social person and using applications like Facebook, Twitter, Skype, Google+, Texting, FaceTime, instant messaging, e-mailing, etc, I’m able to talk and keep in touch with everyone I love.

I heart media because I can use it to accomplish a multitude of tasks. I can use media to learn, to have fun, to entertain myself, to listen to music, to talk to friends, and the list goes on and on.

I heart my media because without it, I would be an emotional wreck. I love being able to stay in contact with people, and without my phone that would be very difficult. Also, without my ipod, I would probably just be in a downer mood a lot of the time because music always brightens my day. Overall, without media I would go from joyous (shown in the top two photos), to a confused and lost mess (shown in the bottom two photos).

P.S. I might have messed up and accidentally created a new blog instead of posting on this one, sorry! 😦 I’m new to this!

I heart media because, without it I am lost. From music, to phone calls and texts, it all keeps me upbeat and going everyday. Going thorough a day without my music is comparable to an alcoholic going thorough a day sober, it just sucks.

I heart my media because it is a source of communication with people whom I have just met or someone from my childhood. Being a freshman, I have met new people left and right since I’ve been in Bloomington. Media allow me to get their numbers and plug them into my iPhone or simply add them on Facebook. With old friends, it is so easy to just send them a Facebook message to check up and see how things have been. It is a great medium of communication and saves/sustains many friendships and relationships in my life.
