Why I Heart My Media

I love my media because it allows me to stay in contact and keep updated with my friends living in different countries.

I heart my media because I hope to major in sport communication, and without media I wouldn’t even have that option of choosing a career in this field. Sports and the media are so intertwined, it’s hard to picture one without another in this society. So because of media, I have this option of choosing a career in sport communication.

I heart my media because I can connect with my friends and family at home. I can see them with Skype and talk through texting and Facebook. 🙂

I less than three media because it gives me false hope that people not only read my tweets, but maybe, just maybe, care about them.

I ❤ media because it runs the world. Everything in our society today is mediated: TV, cell phones, computers, ipods, shopping, news updates, communication etc.

I heart media because through my phone, facebook, and twitter I am able to keep in contact with all of my friends and family who are located around the country.

I love media because it allows me to be constantly connected to the world at all times. Between texts, calls, social networking sites, and emails, i can keep in contact with anyone and everyone. It allows me to see places that i will most likely not be able to see in my lifetime, and constantly keeps me updated on a variety of things ranging from global news to my Facebook news feed.

I heart media for numerous reasons.  The most important being that I can come in contact with friends and family.  Without the availability to text, skype, e-mail and so much more, I wouldn’t have that.  I wouldn’t be able to stay in constant contact with the people that mean the most to me.  Secondly, I love media because it allows anyone to be creative and be able to show the world their creativity. Here’s a little side story to give an example.  My brother, who is the reason I am considering telecom as my Informatics cognate, minored in telecommunications and now uses this minor instead of his Informatics degree in his career.  To show off his creativity, he and his buddies participate in the 48 hour film project.  In the most recent competition, his video took runner-up best picture and they got to travel to Las Vegas as well as the Cannes Film Festival in France. Without media, this would not have been able to take place and he would not have had the chance to travel to France. Check out his video —
