Media is like love

I tried to find a definition of what media means to me, and I realised one thing: I do not know the deeper meaning of this term. We are aware that it is useful to communicate, to be informed, etc.., but what is the broader signification? I do not have an answer to that, even though my connection with this certain word started a long time ago, only from September I began to see media from a different point of view, more specific and interesting. In conclusion, it is too soon for me to have a response to that massive question, except for mentioning media things of common knowledge. I attempted to describe my perspective on this topic, and a comparison came up to my mind: “Media is like love. You could live without it, but it would be a boring and lonely existence.”.
