Why do I love my media?

There is no simple answer to that question, if you ask me. The way I feel about media is like a love/hate relationship:

A part of me passionately hates media. That part of me would rather rid itself of any form of media than participate and give in to it. I hate how we can’t live private lives anymore, I hate how media have become such a massive, inescapable force in our daily lives.

But then there’s that other part of me. The part that knows I can’t live without media, either. Because I can express myself through media. I can share my interests, important milestones and much more with my friends on the other side of the planet. Friends that I made through media. I wouldn’t be who I am without media, because  media have helped shape a part of me. That’s why, in the end, I do love media. I love media because I am media, and I love who I am.
