Media, together alone

Why do I love media? Because whenever I’m feeling down, when I’m alone and have got nothing to do, I turn to media. Media can help me change moods in a few seconds. By seeing a funny meme, a wonderful movie or a wholesome post, I forget my problems and everything that I have to do, and I just enjoy media. Because from my perspective, that is why media has been made. To entertain people, and make life less boring. And damn, it has done a hell of a job doing that.

Because of media, you can be in a community with random people from all over the world. You can like the same things, message each other and get to learn new cultures. Media is everywhere, so you learn cultures and traditions from everywhere. And yes, meeting new people is amazing, but because of media you can stay in contact with everyone you care about; your friends and family.

Because of media you’re never really alone. There are almost always friends online, and even when they’re not, you’ve got the whole world left to discover. And that applies not only to yourself, but to everyone else in the world. Because of media, we’re together alone.
